From a learned Alim to Musa Suhag

One day an idea of becoming someone's disciple came to his mind so he went to one  Murshid and observed  that Murshid is listening the Qawwali as he was the devouted Islamic Scholar, he thought Qawwali as unislamic, when the Murshid sensed his attitude towards Qawwali, he ordered Musa, if you want to become Murid you have to beat the drum and roam in Delhi, according to his wish Musa did the same, on the second day Murshid again said that if he wish to become Murid he have to dress himself like a woman, (to kill his ego, as he was  Great Alim) he did the same as per the Murshid's guidance, on the 3rd day Murshid again ordered him to wear "Payal" and dance in front of the people in the feminine  attire to kill his ego (as he was an Alim, it was against his ego to dance in such an attire) but he followed his Murshid's advice, when he performed  his first dance step, Allah pleased with him and show him the Tajjali as he killed  all his ego (by doing the task which is impossible  for a learned Muslim Scholar). So as he received  Tajalli of Allah in the attire of woman (red dress, bangles, payal , bindi, drums) he continued his later life in the same attire.

According to some scholar, when he saw the glimpse of  Allah SubhanAllah hu wa Ta ala, he went to graveyard and shave his beard, moustache, apply bindi on his forehead, after seeing Musa Suhag in this attire, Ulema tried to punish him as he was going against the basic principle of Islam, by putting the molted lead in his mouth, But soon miracle happened and there was no effect of the lead in the mouth of Hazrat Musa Suhag.

lifestyle

Most of the historians mentioned that he used to wear Red (Surkh) clothes and bangles and live in a group, and used to migrate from one place to another doing the Wird'' Laa ilaha Ilaa Allah'', (some mentioned Illa Allah) He went to Ahmedabad under the reign of Ahmed Shah, once some Mullah asked Musa Suhag to leave his feminine attire and go to mosque to perform Friday's prayer, he quietly went to mosque by wearing the white clothes for Namaz, when Allahu Akbar echoes whole of his clothes turned red, as he restored his own original attire to which he said

Mera Khawind Hayyi Laa Yamoot Hai, Kabhi na Marega,

ye, Mujhe, Bewa Kiye Phirte Hai.

In this statement he wants to say that his Maalik (Almighty) is immortal and these mullahs can't separate him from his lord.
