He emphasized on the teachings of Tawheed and Purification of Nafs in his life time. According to him, Nafs is a more dangerous enemy of a man than devil.

One should befriend those who do the good deeds and forget.

Prophet ﷺ in the dream of Junaid

The incident of meeting of Junaid Baghdadi Rahmatullah with Prophet ﷺ in the dream has been widely discussed by the subject experts including Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh. According to them, Hazrat Sirri Saqti always use to tell Junaid to do Takrir (speech) but every time he used to reply that, "I am your student and how can I deliver an Islamic speech in your presence". One day Prophet ﷺ visited Junaid in his dream and ordered Junayd to deliver Islamic speeches. To which Junaid replied, "Huzoor, I will definitely deliver Islamic speeches from now". After awakening from the dream, he went to his Murshid and perform the prayer behind him. After completion of the prayer, Hazrat Sirri Saqti Rahmatullah Alaih asked Junaid, "will you deliver your Islamic speeches now"? To which Junaid exclaimed, how the Murshid came to know about his dream and his future plans. To which Murshid replied, it was me who yesterday pray to Allah to send Prophet  in your dream to order you to start delivering Islamic speeches.
